The four things that wear your stash down
- Heat dries things out, melts gummies, and thins vape oil.
- Light, especially sunlight, breaks down cannabinoids over time.
- Air dries flower and lets aromas fade.
- Moisture is the worst one. Too much, and mold can grow.
Beat all four and you've basically won.
Flower and pre-rolls
Flower is the most sensitive thing you own, so it gets the most care.
- Use an airtight glass jar. Plastic bags let air in and can make flower sweaty. Keep pre-rolls in their tubes or the original pack.
- Store it somewhere cool and dark, like a drawer or a cabinet, not on top of the fridge.
- Keep the humidity balanced. A two-way humidity pack in the jar keeps flower from drying out or getting too damp.
- Skip the fridge and freezer. Temperature swings create moisture, and freezing makes the trichomes brittle.
- Don't overfill or underfill. A jar that's mostly empty holds a lot of air. Move small amounts into a smaller jar.
When it's done: it crumbles to dust, smells like hay or nothing at all, or smells musty. White or gray fuzz means mold. Toss it, don't smoke it.
Running low? Restock on flower or pre-packed picks.
Gummies and edibles
- Keep them sealed in the original resealable pouch or jar.
- Cool and dry is the move. Heat turns gummies into one big gummy.
- Store them up high and out of reach of kids and pets, and keep them in the original labeled packaging so nobody mistakes them for regular candy.
- Check the best-by date on the pack.
When they're done: they're rock-hard, melted together, weirdly sticky, smell off, or show any mold. Past the date? Potency can fade over time, so fresher is better.

Vapes and concentrates
- Store vapes upright so the oil stays near the coil.
- Room temperature, out of the sun. A hot car can thin the oil and cause leaks. A cold one makes it thick and slow.
- Cap it when it's not in use, to keep lint and dust out.
- Keep concentrates in airtight containers, somewhere cool and dark.
When they're done: the oil turns noticeably dark, the hits taste burnt or harsh even on a charged battery, or the cart leaks and clogs.
Shop Anchored vapes when it's time for a new one.
Drinks
- Unopened: cool and out of direct sun, like any canned drink.
- Opened: refrigerate it and finish it soon. Check the label for anything specific.
Same rules apply whether it's Anchored drinks or a can from Turnt Up's Sip collection.
Got CBD in the cabinet too?
The same rules work for CBD. Keep tinctures capped, upright and away from light, and keep topicals sealed somewhere cool. If you've got Colorado Cures tinctures or topicals next to your Anchored stash, they'll last longer in the same dark drawer.
Check the date on the lab report
Every Anchored product has a QR code that links to its lab report, and you can find them all on our labs page. The report shows when that batch was tested. Not sure how to read one? CBD Plus USA breaks it down in What Is a COA? How to Read Your Hemp Product's Lab Report.

FAQ
What's the best way to store flower? In an airtight glass jar, somewhere cool, dark and dry. A two-way humidity pack helps keep it from drying out or getting damp.
Should I keep flower in the fridge or freezer? No. Temperature swings create moisture, and freezing makes trichomes brittle. A cool cabinet or drawer works better.
Do THC gummies expire? Yes. Check the best-by date on the pack. Gummies that are rock-hard, melted, oddly sticky, smell off or show mold should be thrown out.
How should I store a vape? Upright, capped, at room temperature and out of direct sun. Don't leave it in a hot or freezing car.
How do I know if flower has mold? Look for white or gray fuzz and a musty smell. If you see either, throw it out.
